biography

Practicing physician in Manhattan. Worked on Riker’s Island as the Director of the Montefiore Riker’s Island Health Services. Served as: Vice President for Medical Operations of the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation, Director of the AIDS Center at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Federal Court-appointed monitor overseeing medical care for prisoners. Represents the American Public Health Association on the National Commission for Correctional Health Care.
