biography
Kiera Allison, Ph.D., is an entering postdoctoral fellow at the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry at Emory University. She specializes in literature and medical history, with an additional teaching interest in premed/science writing and communications. Her book-in-progress, The Clinical Ear: Literature and Sound in the Age of the Stethoscope, follows the co-evolution of Victorian poetics and medical diagnostics in their shared attention to bodily rhythm and sound.
