Sarah Emily Duff, PhD, is a researcher at WITS Institute of Social and Economic Research (WiSER), University of the Witwatersrand. Her research is on histories of childhood, sexuality, and medicine in nineteenth- and twentieth-century South Africa. Her monograph, Changing Childhoods in the Cape Colony: Dutch Reformed Church Evangelicalism and Colonial Childhood, 1860-1895, was published in 2015.
