biography
Hsiung Ping Chen, PhD, is the Director of the Research Institute for the Humanities, Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as a Professor of History. Her research interests include child and family studies, traditional Chinese medicine, gender, and the construction of memory. Her monograph, A Tender Voyage: Children and Childhood in Late Imperial China, was published by Stanford U. Press in 2005.
