Sarah Monks is Assistant Director of the Institute for Comparative Literature & Society, Columbia University. She served as Activity Director of a private Alzheimer's and dementia home where she also ran an outpatient support group for the newly-diagnosed for two years before returning to higher education administration. She held a research assistant position in Animal Sciences at University of Arizona on a USDA-led project documenting the town hall educational meetings between ranchers and tribal elders on the issues surrounding cattle grazing and wild horse populations on tribal and public lands.
